I I have resisted price increases despite increased costs in remaining open as an AME during the COVID-19 pandemic and the costs of acquisition of the practice.
However, it is no longer sensible to remain in practice without my first price increase in five years. The FAA's decision to continue to extend expiration dates has caused dramatic decreases in the numbers of airman we see daily. And like most businesses, costs do not decrease; in fact they increase steadily.
Medical exams will now be $140, up from $120.
EKG will be $80., up from $60.
The good news it that the remaining fees for Blood Pressure letters, Special Issuance Review, Complex Visit surcharge, and UPS fees (when applicable) will be unchanged.
If you need to change AME's because of this I understand. However, It is my hope you will continue to allow us at Spruce Creek Flight Physicals to serve your FAA medical needs. We remain here for you!
